Plague of the Pinks

Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee has assured the gay community that the government will not come down hard on them. Sadly, many do not see that “Live and Let Live” may be his most dangerous advice this year.

Come the 1st January 2008, a major change is about to happen in Californian public schools. If a male student wants to use the female changing room, he will be allowed to do so. Reciprocally, a girl must not be prevented from using the boy’s toilet if she desires to. Phrases like “I love my Mum and Dad”, deemed discriminatory by homosexuals, will also be banned from school textbooks. It will be replaced with the more political term “I love my parents” instead.

It may seem far-fetched but it’s true. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has passed bill SB 777 which banishes practices that are seemed derogatory towards homosexuals in public schools. The bill, proposed by lesbian Senator Sheila Kuehl, will also ensure that all instructional materials and school activities positively portray lesbian and gay sex as accepted norms of the society. Children as young as 7, will be taught that it’s ok for a man to have sex with another man.

The homosexuals have scored a major victory indeed.

In Singapore, homosexuals have long been perceived as marginalized victims. They are often seen as casualties of circumstances who never asked to be born the way they are. Gays and lesbians have always cajoled sufficient sympathy from the general public and are left to live in their own eco system.

But in recent years they have grown brazen. Inspired by the victories of their homoerotic brethrens overseas, homosexuals here have been begun openly promoting their lifestyle – even to teenagers and children. The gay manifesto is hailed greatly as an ultimate bastion of individualism. Today, gay couples smooch away in public spaces, oblivious to their surroundings and public sensitivities.

Homosexuals are no longer an ambivalent group. Left unattended all these years under the guise of tolerance and political correctness, the gay lobby here has spawned into a powerful menace that now threatens the very values this country has been built upon. By fighting for the freedom of the minority, they have eaten into the freedom of the majority. But the damage is only beginning.

The recent attempt at homosexuals in Singapore to repeal section 377A, which criminalizes gay sex, is a very clear indicator that grassroots and religious leaders here have to pay more attention towards the morality. This assault has is a wake-up call that this society will decay itself into unabated promiscuity and sodomy if nothing continues to be done.

If events overseas were to be of any indicators, the homosexual lobby will not stop here. They will fight on to make anal sex an accepted norm of society. Repealing a law that criminalizes homosexuality is only the first step towards spiraling into a never ending abyss of homosexual demands. Today they may want to legalize rectum penetration as a form of intercourse. Tomorrow they will want to demand the right to get married. In the future, your daughter may be changing her clothes in the same room as a boy. This is why, live and let live, is not exactly be the best option here.

A communique will soon be dispatched to Singapore's religious leaders by a group of concerned citizens. Should you wish to sign the statement, please proceed to the Open Entreaty to Singapore’s Religious Leaders. Selected comments will be included in the communique.

  1. Dear ridzwan, im a big fan of ur writings and i tink dat u haf correctly pointed out alot of our community's problems in an honest and well intentioned manner but i haf to disagree on u on dis one and not becoz of my own sexual orientation. If u tink otherwise den please be brave enuff to put me in a room wif ur sis or mum den u kan kall me daddy or bro in 9 mths time. From a religious point of view homosexuality may be frowned upon but in my opinion so is alcohol consumption, body art ( wat matrep and minahrep mcm faham kall tattoo adorning ) and pre marital casual sex with LOTS of partners ( tu takpe passing passing pat hp lagi... Semua mau jadi papa jahat! ) A person's sexual orientation in my opinion comes almost naturally and its not as simple as a matter of choice. U have a choice not to drink, u haf a choice not to sleep around and u haf a choice not to scribble ( yes especially minahs scribbling their two syllable names) or decorate your bodies with body art. But do u haf a choice wen u get aroused wen a hot naked chick is in front of u and get disgusted at the sight of a naked man? I bet it juz comes naturally ryte so now spare a tot for the minority who feels the opposite way. Make this a world free of prejudices and intolerances... Society too plays an equally important role. I remembered a classmate of mine who was perceived as soft and was regularly called homophobic nicknames and bullied upon. He was marginalized during sports games and male cliques resulting in him becoming a social pariah and finding himself questioning his own sexuality and identity. He was so ashamed of himself that he started to become reclusive and even more quiet. Soon he begun to seek out others like himself who are caught in a similar predicament. No matter how hard he tried and no matter how he was influenced he was still attracted to the female's body... About a full decade later even though he is still soft spoken and effeminate he is a proud father of two... Being a nerd urself u might be able to relate to this but im sure u cum from a good school where u mix ard onli wif similar elites... I bet if u were to be in RTC or some notorious neighbourhood skool dey will pass u ard like fresh meat... Try exercising a lil bit more compassion and understanding... We are all unique in our own special way and there will always be someone different may it be by gender, race, religion or sexual orientation... The gay community too has a part to play in the progression of our community instead of juz cowering in fear and being marginalized... So let God Almighty be our onli moral judge... I also pray to God someday that ur offspring wont go pink... :)

    Cheers,

  2. I think anonymous above me have gotten the whole concept wrong. I for one, agree with the writer.

Ridzwan is pointing out the issue to HOMOSEXUALS not effeminate people. Not there is a difference. I think this difference is not something that a lot of people understand. I think the article is not coming down hard on those softie-softie types, but those who are attracted to their own kind.

Homosexuality is A CHOICE. It’s a disease of the mind. It’s not a disability. Just like how some people are sexually attracted to little children.

So what happens when a man cannot control his urge whenever he sees a naked 6-year old girl strips? Do we then forgive him also? Because he cannot help it that he is sexually attracted to little children?

What about the guy from Malaysia who was caught having sex with a goat? (Yes Malaysians do the silliest things) He claims that he cannot help it but gets sexually aroused when looking at animals. Do we forgive him also, saying that he cannot help it?

Like people attracted to animals and children, homosexuality is A DISEASE OF THE MIND.

Islam is a religion that is universal and has made allowances for all disabilities. If homosexuality is a disability that you are born with, surely Islam will not condemn it as one of the biggest sins!?

  3. So what are you saying anonymous? We allow our daghters to change in the same room as a male like wat they do in california?

and yeah i think u are confusing the term effiminate with homosxual. Your friend is not a homosexual since he went on to father two children and led a normal life.

  4. My fren as an example was to highlight how society will inadvertedly marginalize people who are different... Do u know how easy it was for him to haf turned pink since u argued that homosexuality? If ur whole skool calls u a fag wont u at one point or another look at urself in the mirror to acertain if there is any truth in it? U need to understand y isit some people develop gay tendencies and to juz dismiss it as a disease is somewhat ignorant and irresponsible... To compare it to paedophilic and beastial sexual urges juz show how much of a bigot u are... Paedophiles take advantage of young people who are not yet capabale of even comprehending the mechanics of sex wheras beastial pervesion is basically taking advantage of animals... Homosexuals do not go around raping people, taking advantage of the young, lead promiscous lifestyles or even preach their lifestyles to others. Instead they hardly ever come out of the proverbial closet... Instead of juz blaming the media or the West for promoting such lifestyles in today's highly globalized homogenous modern society we shud instill our brand of proper sexual education to educate the young... But once they reach maturity then we haf to respect their choices as individuals... Seriously if ur girl wants to change wif the boys irregardless of her sexual orientation, then no rule can stop her from doing so... This is to present a choice so that people can make the right one wen more pressing issues are at hand instead of juz developing into a typical nation of mindless followers... Have u been to a toilet and sub conciously feel that an effeminate fellow user is checking out ur tool while ur doing ur bizness? Islam is a way of life... Its sad to say that fundamentalist people pick and choose wat they want to read or hear to justify themselves and their opinions... Let God punish them for their sins and us for ours... As for myself, i would not participate in a movement to inadvertedly promote hatred and bias to other who are different when there is still other pressing issues especially within our own community... Dear fatin i hope ur children too wont turn pink someday... Have a nice weekend everyone and God bless everyone, homosexuals included...

  5. And Lut, when he said to his tribe: "Do you commit an obscenity not perpetrated before you by anyone in all the worlds? You come with lust to men instead of women. You are indeed a depraved tribe." The only answer of his tribe was to say: "Expel them from your city! They are people who keep themselves pure!" So We rescued him and his family—except for his wife. She was one of those who stayed behind. We rained down a rain upon them. See the final fate of the evildoers! ” — Qur'an, 7:80–84

  7. Like I said you are confusing efiminate and homosexual. We are not concerned about the softies, but those who are actually performing the deeds.

I would have given a damn if these homosexuals want to screw themselves silly till all of them die of aids. It's their problem, but Ridzwan has correctly pointed out correctly that homosexuals WILL IMPOSE their lifestyle onto you, as shown in California where parents of girls know cannot rest knowing their daughters may be showering naked in the same room as boys who claim to be homosexuals.

I hope your children don't turn out to be pink also. Seems to be your favourite greeting now.

  8. asalamualaikum and peace to all.

firstly, kudos to muhammad ridzwan for at least making a stand on the matter. Regardless of his opinion, at least a Muslim in Singapore has dared to make his stand clear as a muslim, unlike the spineless Muslim organisations that claim to look after the interest of the muslim community but has kept silence when such laws are in the danger of being repealed.

Even the christian leaders and churces have come forth with their statements. But our Muslim organisations? Well nothing left to say.

As Muslims, it is compulsory for us to believe in the Quran and the commandements that Quran wants us to follow.

The Quran has told us about the story of Sodom and Nabi Lut alaihi salam. Sodom was a city where homosexuality was tolerated because its inhabitants think just like the people now. That homosexuality in inherent so they lived with it.

Allah then destroyed the city with a disease where everyone died. This tale has been revealed in the Quran to Muhammad. Some people say remnants of this disease is what we know of AIDS today.

The story has a very important moral. That as Muslims, it is not enough to just see evil and let it be, none of my business.

In Islam it is the concept of "amal ma'aruf nahi mungkar". when you see an evil being committed (homosexuality - as forbidden clearly by Allah), it is not enough to just ignore it. One day it will come onto you. this concept in islam is clear.

sadly our mosques and leaders and mendaki, muis etc have chose to kept quiet about it. till our own citizen has to speak about it and make his stand about it. wat is this? wat ar we paying the salaries of this people for, especially mendaki who deducts my money every month?

Anyways this is my 2 cents. amal maruf nahi mungkar.

The greater evil than the evil itself is the person who sees evil being performed but does nothing about it.

  9. Common misconception on Aids is dat onli homosexuals are affected... In fact everyone is at risk to the terrible disease and its main reason is promiscuity and practice of unsafe sex... Homosexual lifestyles and communites in predominantly liberal Western society should not be compared upon to our largely conservative society... So far there isnt any evidence of imposing and preaching of homosexuality... In fact as of the case of the prominent Alfian Saat who is possible the brightest Malay ever produced, ( he top his cohort for his PSLE, O and A levels) he cant even be a relief teacher because of his views on homosexuality... Nobody it seems speaks of homosexuality except wen it is to condemn it... Here in Singapore all the community wanted was to repel a redundant law which makes them CRIMINALS in the eyes of an uncompromising conservative society who are afraid of wat they would want next...So instead of listening the majority supress... In fact fellatio and unnatural sex is also still a crime in modern Singapore laws which dates back to the Victorian era and i for one want the fellatio law repel as well :P Already the homosexual community haf to battle against discrimination, hatred, bias and marginalization each and every day... Im not saying that homosexuality is right and should be encouraged being an alpha male and a struggling humble Muslim myself but its juz not right to hate, marginalize and ostracize someone juz because they are different... I belive a man who is secure in his masculinity will be less threatened than one who has homosexual impulses himself. People are afraid of wat dey do not understand coz ignorance is bliss...

Islam teaches us to love and be good to one another... Infact Sodom and Gomorroh is a society full of homosexuals in which they view heterosexual as different and wrong... They are a deviant society where homosexuality is the norm instead... They demanded Djibril even though Nabi Lut offered his daughters to them...Its totally different from modern society where u haf a choice... Like Islam nothing is forced unto u, u haf a choice to do good and bad... Its a test of ur free will and ur willingness to Submit to God... The Quran is a guide on how to live life effectively... Nowhere in the Quran is there anything about criminalizing, discriminating, hating and punishing homosexuals... We need to embrace all Muslim people as our brothers and sisters, regardless of their failings. No one is perfect except for God. Pre marital sex like homosexuality is forbidden in Islam but why isit that modern society does not condemn this sin in the same aggressive manner when in fact pre marital sex is more prevalent and a much more pressing issue in our present community? Isit not because people cud understand and comprehend their situation? Ask urself which person u would rather stand next to during ur Friday prayers, a closeted homosexual who is in a faithful relationship or a pakcik batam who neglects his responsibilities and constantly expose himself and his family to Aids by sleeping wif numerous sex workers?

Finally, I agree that ridzwan shud be commended for his efforts to get young Malays involved more in the future of our community instead of juz beind dependant on Muis and Mendaki... A bigger platform is suggested to get more differing views and opinions for the common people to express their views... Only thru healthy debate can our minds truly expand... God Bless...

  11. assalamualaikum to one and all,

firstly syabas to brother ridzwan. i have always admired your writings. despite being bombarded for a lot of your writings, including this one. you went on and i urge you to go on.

however i just want to remind one and all to exercise a little bit of adab when adding comments to his blog. saying things like some have said here shows the way your parents have raised you and speaks volume about you akhlak and aqidah.

it's good to air your opinions. kudos to the brave ones for standing up for what they believe. but beware, do not twist the laws of Islam according to your limited knowledge.

When ppl say things like (i quote) "Nowhere in the Quran is there anything about criminalizing, discriminating, hating and punishing homosexuals"...

you just demonstrate your level of knowledge in Islam.

The Quran HAS prescribed that homosexuality IS a transgression and HAS prescribed punishment for those who involve in homosexual activity.

    Surah An-Nisa verse 16

"If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and mend, Leave them alone (do not annoy them in other words after they were punished); for Allah is Oft-returning, Most Merciful."

It is clear that Islam provides a route to insaf as you can see from the verse, to homosexuals who want to repent.

Thank you to the one who posted the verse about Nabi Lut. The warning about Nabi Lut in the Quran has shown for certain how satan leads people astray into entertaining thoughts regarding their sexuality.

  12. ok lah im no religion expert. i cannot quote anything from the Quran to support my argument.

but i think this whole issue, the fagots themselves are to be blamed for bringing it up.

Tell me has anyone been prosocuted under 377A?

No one. the law was there but it did not disturb anyone.

But these fags have to stir up shit somehow and now the dirty laundry is out. Now the community is up in arms.

If they had just left the matter as it is quietly, everyone would have lived happily and the fags can continue to shag away happily till everyone gets syphillis.

Don't fix things if its not broken.

its funny how you mentioned alfian saat in your comment as the brightest malay?

this is the guy who sent an email to MP Dr. Thio telling her that she is "f*cked up" (yes he used the phrease)

and saying that he wants to piss on her grave. this has prompted Dr Thio into making a police report against him.

i wont comment on the police report though i think its frivolous.

but i do know that any gentleman worth his salt and be looked upon as respectable will not resort to such childish behaviours of name calling and suggestions of pissing on grave.

it just shows his character. im glad MOE rejected his application to teach. good judgement indeed.

  16. I love it wen Malay Muslims uses Islam to justify their opinions, thoughts and actions by picking and choosing from the Quran... Yet dey miss the bigger picture and point which is to haf faith and sumbit to god and practice tolerance, compassion and understanding... Its sad that with ur EXTENSIVE knowledge of Islam ure juz like the Westerners who uses onli their brains to analyze every single verse of the Quran but not your hearts and your veri faith... Its true that every sin shud not go on unpunished but why target onli the homo community to be punished and discriminate upon? Why is there no punishments for adulterers and dos who engage in pre marital sex? Im onli a humble struggling Muslim like i haf mentioned and not an ISLAMIC EXPERT FULL OF QUOTES from google but if im not mistaken adulterers were stoned to death which makes it a more serious crime in the eyes of Islam whereas homosexuals were onli given 100 lashes, the same amount for dos who are intoxicated in public... Why is there no punishments for all dos papa jahats who are brazen enuff to pass their acts for the entire community to see? Why no punishment for the drunks wen in the eyes of the syariah it carries the same weightage as engging in homosexual laws... Why the double standards? Dey not onli commit these sins but pass it around for others to see... Since ure such staunch fundamentalists in a secular nation why not juz fight to bring back the whole Syariah laws while we are at it and not juz pick and choose from ur beloved religion to justify ur lifestyles and prosecute those who are different... Wen all else fail quote the Quran!!! Malays are always proud of their adab, aqidah and their religion but take a long hard look at ur community now... The problem is the Malay community is always quick to pull the trigger in condemning others especially their own people instead of showing compassion and understanding... The typical holier than thou attitude especially from so call elites using religion and tradition to justify their actions... Isit wrong to listen to others and help them instead of juz marginalizing, condemning and constantly persecute them? If ur academic results were half as good as Mr Alfian Saat and yet u cant even gain employment as a RELIEF TEACHER because of ur differing views den i guess any normal human will be pissed off... He reacted as any normal human would... Ofcoz the ISLAM expert will claim sabar itu ade lah iman and get some Quran quotes from Google to justify his views and condemn Mr Saat for reacting in dat way... Nobody is perfect even the great Nabi Daud sinned wen he send a man to the frontline of the battlefield so dat he cud marry the said man's wife... Is the man who's voice cud stop the flow of water be worth any salt at all den??? Lets be more compassionate and understanding den we cud truly help others who are in need... Listen to those who are troubled and help them as well as learn from it to prevent future cases... Finally i sincerely apologize if my comments offended anyone... Im juz calling it as i see it... God bless...

  17. looking at your post it is obvious that you have been bankrupted of valid arguments.

you love it when malay muslim uses Quran to justify their argument?

Ha ha ha! Ladies and gentlemen. Read the post by ridzwan. has he used the word Quran here?

    he did not.

who is the one who mentions Quran in the first place? Me or the anonymous above me?

as all can see, wasp is the one who mentions Quran in the first place by (wrongly) mentioning that te Quran has NO punishment for homosexuals.

after which his falsity and lack of knowledge has been demonstrated that there is in fact a commandment in the Quran to punish homosexuals.

so after being proven wrong, wat does he do?

he talks about teenage preganancy and other problems instead! classic move! wat a coward.

so instead of addressing the issue of homosexuality, which is wat this post is about, what does he do?

he sprays his arguments at other social problems instead.

this post is about homosexuality. if you want to discuss tenage pregnancy, social problems of the malays etc, it has been thoroughly debated in the other threads.

you have wrongly quoted that there is no law in the Quran against homosexuals.

It is a duty by any knowing Muslim to correct this error.

    Now don't change the subject.

  20. I seriously see that ur arguement has been validated by ur veri veri strong points or shall i say single point dat we need to punish homosexuals because the Quran says so... Which u did by quoting a single surah most possibly from google? How original and brilliant... So far ur many brilliant missing points to ur arguement has realli shown the depth of ur intellect and ur extenseive Islamic knowledge... How smart and narrow of u since u refuse to see the bigger picture... Dat it is okay to practise some sins which is committed by the MAJORITY wheras it is wrong to commit sins committed by the MINORITY... That is discrimination, bias and direct marginalization of the minority few by the majority who uses ISLAM to defend their bigot views... U people make Muslims look bad because u make it into a religion of convenience... U pick and choose... And i can see how stupid and ignorant u are in not seeing the relavance of the points i pointed out earlier... The subject has always been the discrimination of homosexuals... Why their lifestyle is rejected, shun and ostracize whereas other lifestyles which contradicts ur beloved religion is accepted and not criminalized... Are u GOD to decide wat can be accepted and wat cannot??? Ure making ur own rules to conform to modern society and using onli religious points to back it up... And keep on harping on the no punishment in Quran because it was meant to be in the context of anything about criminalizing, discriminating, hating and punishing homosexuals... And u choose onli one adjectives out of the four... Dis onli show how u people pick and choose wat u want to hear and are not open to debates... So far i do not see other relavant points to ur arguements accept for religion, religion and religion dat i believe all of u shud start a right wing fundamentalist party... 21. Dear all, my short name is Naz and my email is nazryn81@hotmail.com

The reason why I disclose mysel, well at least partially is because i would love to take this stride to air my views without having to hide behind the viel of the computer screen.

I agree with Mr Ridzwan and our PM, one thing will lead to another, while we try to be "accomadating" to this sick and tasteless culture, it's hard not to think these bigots would go firther by the day to ask for more "liberal rights" in our home land, we so adore because of our common values no matter how culturally different it is fundamentally.

Let me make my view clear, we should take an affirmitive action on this gay issue. Yes, put them first in line to get help from our national counsellors and mental treatment to realise why they are this way and how they could go back to mainstream society with proper lifestyle.

If nothing changes and they become more adamant, let them feel the rot of being the least wanted people in our society, imposed corporal punishments for the slightest crime they do, humiliate them/ Yes, all these for a clean Singapore because we should'nt waste our time debating about issues concerning some sick, degratory culture when we have major issues like cost of living and community upbringing to work on.

YES, you are right. What I've just suggested is, to discriminate GAYS openly with total humiliation. Yes, as much as we could try to help them repent, it would be that much we would be aggresive against them.

and Yes, I sincerely believe they are a menace to our society's good upbringing and I sincerely believe no matter how nice gays are always percieve socially, we can;t have room for such "nice" people.

and yes, let's target for a zero elimination point for a period of let's say 3 years.

make our country a better place for our children's future.

  25. Salam All

May I assume that those who have quoted the Quran here are Muslims?

May I suggest that you all take up the study in Qawaid Fiqhiyah to understand the basic principles behind the Syriah Law govering the Muslims.

One of the foundations of the syariah is about protecting the majority verses the minority (Kemaslahatan Umum verses kemaslahatan individu).

I believe what bro Ridz was trying to suggest is this and i agree with him.

Its okay to view your opinions freely. But, pleaaaase dont quote the Quran out of context just to substantiate your views.

I agree that being Muslims we are just like one body. If one part of the body is hurt, other parts would feel the pain too. I think homosexuality is some kind of cancer which threaten the whole if not treated in due time. Being Muslims, we have to be compassionate and try to help them to seek cure for this illness and not condone it and pray that it would disappear on its own one day.
    Thats not the Islamic way.

I praise bro Ridz for bringing up the issue for discussion openly.

Homosexuals are not born naturally like that. Its experimentation and curiosity that makes them like that.

Quite simply, they are people who just needs help.

I think a person like you should govern these people in stead of just writing an article!

    - Wish you luck, kinda like your style of writing.

  29. i'm sorry if you are such a person to offer such bigotory response by being so personal and emotional.

Leave that childish mentality aside, have u travel the world wide enough to see the decaying part of the global social structure. yes, the decaying part that comes along once more and more leeways are given to "alternative" lifestyles, putting other decaying factors that is not homo related aside.

Yeah, call me little hitler, or hitler's partner or whatever u want to comment but at least with total control and affirmitive aggression, we can keep things in check and under control. PM Lee was being too kind in his comments about letting homos live the way they do, probably due to social and global pressure on universal view on Singapore.

But for sure and for one thing only, given the space to change, and to release oneself from that perverse experimentation on that alternative lifestyle does'nt work, what else can we do? expose and crush them.

It tells alot about the way our community thinks?? oh well, or would u rather see more and more of our people engaging in "faggotory" actions, which is rising by the day. I would'nt want to tell my children in the future that engaging in same sex intimacy is a new and acceptable fad.

please, if u want to rebute this, be more mature and ready before engaging with me.

  30. from the looks of it i think wasp is a gay lover or a gay himself. a fagoot to be precise.

it's how you apply religion into this context. even under social norms, homosexuality is frown upon. it has been the butt of jokes among western tv talk shows or in simple comical publications.

oh well wasp, perhap your way of writing tells how much maturity you have in facilitating constructive debate. or perhaps it's becase of my first point...gay lover

  32. Hello wasp,

You views are interesting and should i say, refreshing? But i would like to put forth some questions.

Islam is a faith and a way of life. And to make it a way of life, should we not follow the rules cited in the Quran?

As stated, God forbids the act of homosexuality. Since we as Muslims should seek to stay away from such acts, should we not also discourage our fellow brethren from commiting such acts?

You also cite, "let God be the judge", don't you think the judgement has been passed, as stated by the Holy Book?

Two wrongs does not make a right. So one has to be wrong, either the book is wrong or our views on homosexuality are tainted.

That does not mean we as muslims should discrimate the homosexuals.

If i may ask, what are your reccomendations to remedy this illness? Since the religion as a rule(not faith) does not accept such acts of nature.

    best regards
    jest

  33. For an enlightening esay on Islam & homosexuality, may I refer everyone to this site:

How Should Homosexuality be Viewed in Islam?http://community.livejournal.com/muslims/345890.html#cutid1

I found it very useful & one of the best arguments to date (we are always seeking to improve our understanding, InshaAllah).

  34. Ridzwan wake up your ideaJanuary 26, 2008 2:49 AM

"The gay manifesto is hailed greatly as an ultimate bastion of individualism. Today, gay couples smooch away in public spaces, oblivious to their surroundings and public sensitivities."

You seem to imply that pubic smooches by gays are wrong. You do not respect the differences that we, the people in singapore share. for example, if dancing is considered as heretic behaviour in Islam whereas dancing maybe a form of festive celebration for catholics will you tolerate catholics dancing?

"the gay lobby here has spawned into a powerful menace that now threatens the very values this country has been built upon. By fighting for the freedom of the minority, they have eaten into the freedom of the majority. "

How have they eaten into the freedom of the majority? How do they threaten the values which our country are set upon? Your meaningless assertions only serve to propagate a perverted mindset.

"Tomorrow they will want to demand the right to get married. In the future, your daughter may be changing her clothes in the same room as a boy"

How do school girls change their clothes in the same rooms as the boys? Will there be any cubicles? Are there any security emasures in place? Again, you have taken something out of context and seek to corrupt other minds by making a blunt and greyish statement. It is like saying" John killed Jack". Was jack defending himself against something? Was the intent of killing malicious?

" homosexuals here have been begun openly promoting their lifestyle – even to teenagers and children."

Your stereotyping tactics run parallel to those of the Nazis. Just because some homosexuals are doing the wrong stuff doesnt mean ALL of them are doing that. If you kill someone today, shall I say that all your family are murderers?

"This assault has is a wake-up call that this society will decay itself into unabated promiscuity and sodomy if nothing continues to be done."

How does society decay? Has california decayed yet? You ahve provided no statistics or examples to verify your claim while I have.

  35. this is an old post but i thought i'd add a comment to something that was said earlier about pedophiles. in the case of pedophiles, it involves non-consensual sex. sex between two men are most often consensual. and therefore not the same as pedophilia. "forgiving" another person is also an extremely arrogant and egoistical statement to make.

sex with animals is another interesting prospect. i came across an interview with peter singer once and he mentioned briefly of the possibility of bestiality (sex with animals) if the animals were not subjected to pain or harm. peter singer of course is the father of the animal rights movement.

i believe our concepts of morals and ethics must reflect the times that we live in. what we think of as "natural", may not seem "natural" in the future. in the past, it was normal and natural for people to worship the sun. it was also normal and natural for fathers to have sex with their daughters. this shifting of morals and ethics is necessary for our evolution. islam is a relatively young religion. i am as wary of religions as i am of anything or anyone that claims to know truth. truth i believe, is an openness to discovery and not a judgment, a division.

i believe that in perhaps 10-20 years time, euthanasia will be legalised and i do hope it will be as i believe it to be a humane and dignified way of dying.

  36. my comments to homosexuals is that, it's a phsychological problems. to help homosexual is not by legitimating it, but to help them by physchological ways.

    There's a story that I came across.
There's this chap who was caught for sodomy. He sodomised a young boy. He tricked the boy to work for him and then he sodomised him. The young boy was already vunerable on top of that, he is intelectually disable.

When asked why he has the urge for men, he said, when he was young, he was sodomised by his uncle. he complained to his family but noone listen. brush it off as the boy making up stories and punish him instead. it went on for some time until later he start to have urge for men. one example of a gay who is not born that way, but phsychological disturbed.
